Kate Leahy Joins Charles River CFO

Director and Client Service CFO, Nonprofit and Social Enterprise


Kate Leahy

Katherine L. Leahy (Kate) has joined the firm as a Director and Client Service CFO in the Nonprofit and Social Enterprise Practice. With over 25 years of experience working with nonprofits, Kate has worked with nonprofits with a budget of $5 million to $75 million, primarily in cultural, faith-based, social service, and education organizations.


Kate’s professional career began at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in metro New York. Over her career, she developed a passion for nonprofits and has assisted some of Boston’s most meaningful organizations, including The Trustees of Reservations, Boston Center for the Arts, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Community Music Center of Boston, City Mission, Carroll Center for the Blind, Institute for Student Achievement, Lincoln Hall, Boston Medical Center, United Church of Christ, Eliot Church of Newton, and others.


Kate received a B.S. in accounting from Hofstra University. She earned her CPA license in the state of New York.
